Kasalukuyang nakaratay sa Commonwealth Health Center sanhi ng matinding pinsala na tinamo sa ulo ay idineklarang brain dead ang Pinoy na nakilalang si Larry Gonzales. Nasa intensive care unit ng pagamutan si Gonzales at kinabitan ng life support machine. Wala umanong kapamilya sa Saipan si Gonzales kaya walang makapagdesisyon kung ano gagawin sa sitwasyon nito. Ayon kay Department of Public Safety acting spokesman Jason Tarkong, natukoy na ang pagkakakilanlan ng suspek subalit hindi muna nagbigay ng iba pang detalye ukol dito. Sinabi naman ng mga kaibigan ng biktima na naaresto na umano ng pulisya ang suspek na dating boyfriend umano ng teenager na nobya ni Gonzales. Batay kay Miriam Buatis, 35-anyos at kaibigan ng biktima, nangyari ang insidente bandang alas-singko ng hapon nitong Lunes, Marso 1 sa tapat ng Kagman High School sa Saipan. Nakikipag-usap umano sa kanyang nobya si Gonzales nang dumating ang suspek at binigwasan ng suntok sa mukha ang Pinoy. Bumagsak at tumama umano ang ulo ng Pinoy sa sahig at binanatan pa ito ng sunud-sunod na tadyak ng suspek bago tumakas. |

Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. This was announced by Ebdane on Wednesday in his inaugural speech that outlined a seven-point community-centered action agenda. Ebdane, a retired police general who also served as public works secretary and secretary of National Defense and is a political neophyte, won by a margin of almost 30,000 votes over four-term Gov.
